How Has Our Food Changed In The Last Century?

It's hard to believe that the majority of the foods we eat today didn't even exist 100 years ago. With all of the new technology and advancements in agriculture, it's no wonder that our diets have changed so much in such a short period of time. In fact, some of the food items that are common staples in our diets today could be considered fairly new when compared to other foods that have been around for centuries or even millennia. Here are some examples of foods that were introduced into the human diet within the last 100 years.

This type of radiation has only been around for about 20 years and its long-term effects are still unknown. BPA has been linked to a number of health problems such as infertility, obesity, and cancer. Due to the potential health risks associated with BPA, many companies have started offering BPA-free products in recent years.

Toxic drinking water is a major problem in many parts of the world today. Due to industrialization and pollution, many waterways are contaminated with harmful chemicals and pollutants. In developed countries, tap water is typically safe to drink but it is always important to check your local water quality report before consuming any water from a new source.

Birth control is a relatively new concept in human history. Electronics such as cell phones, computers, and TVs have only become commonplace within the last few decades. For example, prolonged exposure to blue light from electronic screens can contribute to eye strain and fatigue. Additionally, spending too much time on electronic devices can lead to social isolation and anxiety.

Synthetic pesticides and herbicides are chemicals that are used in agriculture to kill pests and weeds. These chemicals can be very harmful to human health if they are not used properly or if they are ingested in large quantities.
